When folks say “time flies”, they must’ve been talking about life in the newspaper business. Come Saturday, The Chronicle will mark five years since publishing our first issue. Amazing how fast this time has passed.
MOSELLE – Just a few years ago, when the Pine Belt region found itself struggling to fill small turboprop airplanes with a dismal service record to Atlanta, it would have been hard to imagine American Airlines jet service serving the Jones County airport.
As I sit here typing today, Satan’s wrath of yellow pollen has descended on Jones County. As someone who is highly allergic to this floating nuesance, I’ve already been to see a doctor for a shot and meds.
Happy spring! Even though we are officially weeks away from the beginning of spring, it’s hard to imagine that it’s still winter hitting 80-plus degrees days already. Spring is a lovely time of year, but I find it hard to enjoy sometimes.
