Volunteers for the South Central Regional Medical Center and its associated assisted-care facilities gathered in Laurel Tuesday as part of the proclamation signing ceremony to recognize their service to the community.
Local residents came together at the Sawmill Square Mall to have fun and promote health. As a part of promoting health awareness month, Reconnect Therapy and Wellness invited residents to come out and celebrate by taking part in a fun walk.
Senior citizens are taking part in a seven-week Bible study at the Arco Lane Center. Kay Guy, former executive director of the Laurel Housing Authority, is instructing the Bible study, which is titled “One in a Million” by Priscilla Shirer.
