In its first game in operation, the scoreboard situated behind the wall in right-center field at Mustang Field got quite a workout.

A majority of the members of the Laurel City Council voted this week to increase the rates and charges for water and sewer services in the City of Laurel and agreed to issue bonds, not to exceed $4 million, for water and sewer improvements.

West Jones softball collected its seventh win of the season late Monday evening, defeating Seminary in convincing fashion at Mustang Field, 12-0.

With little discussion during the Laurel City Council’s recent meeting, the council approved a pay raise for the mayor and city council for the next term.

Saraphina is a pit bull mix with a contagious smile. She is very athletic and loves to jump! She is having a hard time adjusting to shelter life, but her companion Nala seems to be her security blanket.  She would do best if she could be adopted with her best friend.
